North Shore Lactation is a breastfeeding medicine private practice offering
private, in-home consultations. Home consultations are available in
Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as Eastern Queens. All services are
by appointment only.
As a nurse practitioner, Michelle Turner offers evidenced-based
interventions to manage common medical problems that may interfere with
breastfeeding. These services are and have always been covered by
insurance when provided by a physician or nurse practitioner. At this time,
however, North Shore Lactation is not accepting insurance. We are
currently a fee-for-service at time of service practice. A fee schedule is
available on request.
This practice does not do billing for reimbursement and is not a provider on
any insurance plan at this time. If you have out-of-network coverage our
services may be reimbursed, however, we cannot guarantee reimbursement.
At the end of the visit, you will be provided with a Lactation Visit Receipt
and instructions for filing a third party insurance reimbursement claim,
which is strongly encouraged.
